Y&R is on a winning streak, having been appointed Cigna Insurance’s creative agency for New Zealand.
The agency has been awarded a full creative, direct and media relationship with Cigna Insurance, following a full service win with GE Capital recently.
This full service sprung from a brand development project with Cigna in April. While the pitch in April was competitive, this subsequent relationship came without a formal tender, Y&R said.
Y&R’s sister agency MEC will handle channel strategy and implementation, with a start date for Y&R of late October, the agency said.
Cigna Insurance national marketing manager Simon Tohill said Y&R had demonstrated an insights-led approach to their work and the company was looking forward to seeing that carry through in day-to-day communications.
“Cigna has some big plans for growth in the New Zealand market, soothe time was right to consolidate our agency relationships across the board.”
Y&R general manager Grant Maxwell said the company was delighted to have wider relationship with Cigna.
“They have some pretty big aspirations for their brand in this market and abroad, so we can’t wait to take that journey with them.”
