This is a supplied media release.

Valocity, New Zealand’s first locally-built digital property valuation platform, has appointed New York-based technology start-up entrepreneur, Jonty Kelt to its advisory board.

The savvy ex-pat Kiwi has spent almost two decades working in the technology sector as an entrepreneur, CEO and investor.  He currently works as an executive at Palantir Technologies, a big data analytics company, and is also an investor in early stage technology companies out of his fund, Fantail Ventures.

Valocity CEO Carmen Vicelich says the company is delighted to have someone of Jonty’s calibre and experience join its board.

“Valocity is very focused on the next phase of growth and expansion. Jonty’s extensive experience in the global technology sector will be extremely valuable in supporting our ongoing strategy, in addition to helping us access new opportunities and areas of growth,” she says.

Originally from Hawkes Bay, Jonty is now based in New York with his wife and two children. Over the past two decades, he has cultivated an impressive international career which has seen him co-found a number of technology businesses in the UK and USA. He also worked for Google after its acquisition of DoubleClick, co-founded a media business in China, and helped establish Macquarie Bank in New Zealand.

Jonty says his appointment to the Valocity board has natural synergies given his extensive background in technology startups and big data analytics.

“Valocity has an exciting future ahead, and I am looking forward to helping evolve the company with innovative thinking as well as facilitating access to influential global networks that will take it next level.”

Jonty joins independent director, mentor and adviser, Debra Hall and Andrew Harris, a partner at Grant Thornton, on the Valocity advisory board.
