Investment banking team loses two, gains one.
Two senior executives are to leave the investment banking team of big local broking firm First NZ Capital.
Carl Blanchard and Martin Stearne, both managing directors of investment banking at First NZ, confirmed their departure this week.
Mr Blanchard is to join institutional investor ACC as head of direct investment in a couple of months.
“It‘s a great move, I’m really looking forward to it,” he says.
Mr Stearne could not immediately be reached for comment.
As the two prepare to move on, the gap will be partially filled by Brent Pattison, who is joining First NZ next week from Forsyth Barr, where he was a director of investment banking.
First NZ Capital is currently working as a joint lead manager for a proposed initial public offer of Carter Holt Harvey.
