State-owned broadcaster to disestablish 30 jobs early next month.
TVNZ says it will be disestablishing about 30 roles in the next couple of weeks.
In a statement, chief executive Kevin Kenrick says, "This is about responding to the rapidly changing media market and aligning resources towards shaping TVNZ’s future – particularly in the digital space."
"The proposal includes a re-ordering of business units and reporting lines, with approximately 30 roles looking to be disestablished."
The state-owned broadcaster says it expects the new structure to be confirmed by early August.
TVNZ is the latest of the large media companies to cut or restructure jobs.
The company employs roughly 750 people.
Fairfax plans to disestablish 185 jobs and create 160 new ones. MediaWorks has undergone several upheavals since the arrival of Mark Weldon. Radio NZ is cutting 14 staff.
Meanwhile, NZME will converge its NZ Herald and Newstalk ZB newsrooms at the end of the year once the company moves into one building.
