Special and Orcon – together, groundbreaking

Mon, 16 Aug 2010

The joy just keeps on flowing for the award-winning partnership between Orcon and Special.

The agency has created a unique internet banner – possibly a first? – and reckon it’s groundbreaking for Orcon.

Click here to see it and play with its facilities and see below for stills from the ad.

The ad is going live on the masthead of the Herald Business and Stuff Business pages today. It’s an interactive banner with a difference: it’s fun, not annoying.

It shows a mini-office with several scenarios, from a new business win to a new receptionist, an office meltdown and even … an escaped convict.

Through it you can watch these mini episodes of office life, although frequency of escaped convicts is to be questioned.

The idea is to dramatise why Orcon’s no-contracts approach gives Kiwi companies a good deal of freedom to grow and change.

The line is "Freedom to change as your business does."

Special creative director Tony Bradbourne said it’s groundbreaking for Orcon, which won the creative business of the year award at this year’s Axis Awards.

“It's designed to create attention and engagement.”

The ad is a collaboration between Orcon’s agency Special Group, production company Exposure, and interactive agency Salt Design.

Your options: Business win, new receptionist, office meltdown, or escaped convict?

New receptionist. Unsurprisingly, popular.

It's business time.
