Listen to Whaleoil's response: ‘He’s got no possibility at all of winning action against me’ – Cameron Slater
Former Conservative party leader Colin Craig tells NBR Radio there is little risk of him losing his defamation action against Whaleoil blogger Cameron Slater.
He says this is something that has been well planned and well researched.
“I don’t like losing and my court record makes it clear that I pick and plan my battles very well.”
This follows Mr Craig announcing yesterday he will seek $300,000 in damages against Taxpayers' Union executive director Jordan Williams, $600,000 Conservative Party board member John Stringer and $650,000 from Mr Slater – who he collectively labelled "the dirty politics brigade."
Mr Craig says he’s “entirely serious,” about his legal action.
“[I] don’t make idle threats and [I] don’t waste people’s time unless [I’m] serious about something.”
Mr Craig says despite Mr Slater saying he was not contacted about this at all, “[I] gave him indication we were considering legal action and he took that pretty lightly.”
“Cameron Slater needs to get good legal advice.”
