This is a supplied media release.

Serko announces it has appointed Nick Whitehead as head of marketing.

This new appointment is part of Serko’s strategic initiative to scale the business as it prepares to launch its new flagship offering, Zeno, into the Australasian market and to expand into North America, the UK and Europe during 2018.

Darrin Grafton, Serko chief executive said, “As we work towards building a global brand, we’re driving awareness and demand for our solutions in new markets. Bringing Nick on board is a key part of that, and we’re backing up his appointment with further investment in the marketing function to truly take Zeno to the world”.

Mr Whitehead has over 15 years’ experience launching innovative products into new segments and helping technology brands enter new geographies. Most recently he was head of marketing for Viostream, an enterprise video platform headquartered in Australia that was recognised in the Deloitte Fast 50 Awards. His achievements included the expansion of the customer base into global enterprise accounts such as Amazon Web Services, Google and Adobe.

“Business travel has always been a big part of my life, but the process to plan, book and reconcile travel was often painful and more time consuming than it needed to be. That’s why I’m so excited about the transformation that Zeno is going to bring to corporate travel; a consumer-grade experience that will deliver a streamlined, positive experience for travellers,” explained Mr Whitehead as context for his move.

“My focus is now firmly on establishing Zeno as the premium offering in the Australasian market before our expansion into North America and Europe later this year.”
