In addition to the news that Angus Wardlaw has been appointed as creative director at Saatchi & Saatchi, Simon Wedde has also been poached from DDB to the agency.
Mr Wedde, who has been a managing partner at DDB for two years, will head up the Telecom account.
Mr Wedde has worked on a range of “blue-chip” accounts, such as The Warehouse, New Zealand Lotteries and Sky Television.
Saatchi head Nicola Bell said she welcomes both Mr Wedde and Mr Wardlaw as “true believers in the great adventure we as a company are embarking upon”.
“Simon knows the New Zealand market inside-out.”
It’s said to be all systems go at Saatchis with several pitches on the run right now.
He starts on May 19, while Mr Wardlaw starts on May 10.
