Yesterday, he was in the news discussing his favourite Hollywood bombshells.
Today, international man of mystery John Key stepped into the spotlight himself, modelling the uniform to be worn by 7000 core staff, including 5000 volunteers, at the Ruby World Cup 2011.
The threads were officially unveiled at a function at the North Shore Rugby Club in Devonport, Auckland - in a moment that made NBR think back to the Coronation Street scene in which Norris showed off his volunteer uniform for the Manchester Commonwealth games.
The uniform consists of a jacket, polo shirt, rugby jersey and trousers and features the Tournament’s “look and feel” - the distinctive mangopare and koru designs which represent the world coming together for the contest.
Unconfirmed reports had Liz Hurley describing the look as "hot".
