New Zealand First leader Winston Peters spent 30 minutes berating media while revealing little information in a press conference this afternoon.
He did say he would be waiting until the results of the special votes came in on October 7 before he makes a decision on whether to form a coalition government with National or Labour.
He said it was the last press conference he was going to hold until that date but insulted a journalist who asked why he had bothered to hold one today.
Mr Peters spent most of the press conference attacking media.
Clearly not happy with the post-election coverage, Mr Peters went as far as calling journalists out by name for their “drivel” – at times incorrectly, claiming journalists had written certain things.
He was particularly harsh on an Australian reporter from the Australian Financial Review from whom he refused to answer questions.
