Ad agency Ogilvy & Mather has poached FCB executive creative director Regan Grafton to head its creative department in September.
Mr Grafton joins Ogilvy & Mather after three years at FCB and is ranked as New Zealand's second best creative director by Campaign Brief.
He is taking the role of former Ogilvy & Mather ECD Angus Hennah, who left late last year when Ogilvy lost its grip on the Holden creative advertising account. Mr Hennah has since resurfaced at indie agency Special, which won the Holden account in a highly-publicised, competitive pitch.
Ogilvy & Mather has a strong retail client base, which includes Briscoes, Countdown and most recently (but unofficially) Number One Shoes.
Managing director Greg Partington says the new hire signals "another critical element in the evolution, growth and influence" of the agency.
Mr Grafton's previous experience includes nine years at DDB and four years at Y&R.
