New Zealand markets steady, Australia up


NZX flat, S&P ASX 200 up 1.7% on back of international confidence about oil prices.

New Zealand markets have held steady, while Australia's indices surged, after overseas markets responded positively to Libya's end game and an associated fall in oil prices.

The NZX is trading at 3276, up 0.1%, with New Zealand Refining up 6.3% on the back of a positive earnings announcement.

Australia's S&P ASX 200 is currently at 4154, up 1.7%.
