NBR reporter Tim Hunter won the inaugural NZ Shareholders' Association Business Story of the Year Award, for a series of three articles on NZX-listed Intueri Group.
The award was presented at the association’s annual Beacon Awards dinner in Auckland last night.
The judges praised the articles as intensely researched, tackling complex issues and demonstrating best journalistic practice.
"I am delighted and honoured to receive this inaugural award," Mr Hunter says.
"The NZSA is a vital voice for investors in this country’s commercial life and business journalism benefits greatly from its support. The dinners are great too."
In June, Mr Hunter won the commentary category in the EY Business Journalist of the Year awards for a series of columns on Fonterra, lines companies and David Henderson’s Property Ventures.
It was the second straight year he had won that category and he is a previous overall winner.
