MYOB shares debut at 7% premium

Shares in accounting firm MYOB began trading on the ASX today at a healthy 7% premium to their $A3.65 float price.
The shares began trading at $A3.91, a cent below the day’s high, before easing to a low of $A3.84 in the first hour of trading.
MYOB’s owners, Bain Capital and management, raised $A833 million from the float.
The issue price, arrived at through an auction process with institutional investors, was set at the upper end of the $A3 to $A4 indicative range.
Most of the proceeds are going to repay debt and Bain’s holding has been diluted to about 58%.
