Maori Television has seen another senior staff member leave under the restructure of chief executive Paora Maxwell.

Maori TV head of news and production Julian Wilcox announced his resignation this afternoon.

Reportedly Mr Wilcox has found a new, non-broadcasting role.

The announcement comes just three weeks after Maori TV general manager production Carol Hirschfeld resigned from the taxpayer-funded TV station.

Ms Hirschfeld is due to join Radio New Zealand in November as head of content.

Both staff members were demoted in early September despite Mr Maxwell saying that he was not looking at making “radical” changes when he assumed the role in March.
