SkyCity Auckland’s Japanese-themed Masu restaurant will team with Moët & Chandon for its second year of a sponsored champagne lounge at the NZ Festival of Tennis in Auckland from January 5-17, 2015.
Chef Nic Watt will provide a range of Japanese fusion dishes that match a range of Moët & Chandon champagnes: “vibrant citrus fruit and elegant bold notes of fresh nuts matched perfectly with an exciting array of Masu creations; from soft shell crab sliders on squid ink buns with yuzu koshu mayo to half barley miso baby chicken, pork and kimchee gyoza with pickled cucumber to an elegant banana green tea parfait paired with yuzu meringue cherry sorbet.”
Rai Banbury, Moët & Chandon senior brand manager, says: “Nic Watt is an incredible chef with an eye for detail and impeccable cuisine combinations. Everything Nic has created for the lounge has been designed around celebration and sharing with others, which embodies Moët & Chandon perfectly.”
The NZ Festival of Tennis comprises the ASB Classic for women (January 5-10) and the Heineken Open for men (January 12-17). It will feature top international players such as Venus Williams, Caroline Wozniacki, David Ferrer and Gael Monfils.
Moët & Chandon has long been an active supporter of international tennis. The Moët & Chandon champagne lounge can be accessed by all tickets and ground passes.
