Lightbox chief executive Kym Niblock has resigned two years after she helped spearhead the streaming video on demand player’s launch.
She said she has decided to leave Lightbox and parent Spark [NZX: SPK] to “move on to other challenges."
“I’ve had a terrific time at Spark and met some amazing people across New Zealand and within the media industry over my time here,” she says.
“I'm enormously proud of the team and the spectacular business we have launched and built in Lightbox. In 2014, we set out to change the way Kiwi’s watched TV forever and in this last two years, with your support, content and coverage, we’ve done exactly that.”
In July, Lightbox was recently folded into Spark’s consumer unit, Home, Mobile & Broadband.
She will finish her role at the end of the year and there is no immediate replacement.
Ms Niblock says she doesn’t have another role to go to but is “making plenty of plans for what might come.”
