Colliers International has appointed Tim Lichtenstein as national director of its property syndications division.

Reporting to Auckland managing director Charles Cooper, he will focus on running and building up Colliers’ syndication business.

He and his team will identify appropriate commercial property syndication opportunities in New Zealand and Australia, manage the sell-down process on behalf of clients, and promote Colliers’ expertise in syndications to new clients.

He has worked in the industry since 2000 and has been a member of the company’s syndications team over the past five years. He has helped identify, market and sell-down several offerings which Colliers has taken to the market. This includes raising around $80 million of capital across eight schemes in the past two years, including two in Australia.

Mr Lichtenstein and his team are marketing 250 units in a syndication of a retail and office building on a corner site at 114 Dominion Rd, Mt Eden, Auckland returning 8% a year. The units are owned by the promoter of 114 Dominion Rd, who is now selling down the interests he underwrote.

New offerings include the sale of units in a $9 million Australian commercial property, with further details to be released soon.
