The Board of leading freight management company, Kotahi, has appointed David Ross to the role of Chief Executive.
Kotahi Chairman Mark Leslie said Mr Ross has extensive international markets experience and brings a deep understanding of the importance of supply chain logistics to export and import businesses.
“David will bring a strong understanding of the global business environment, doing business in Asia and the importance of collaboration. Kotahi is performing strongly and David’s appointment reinforces our focus on driving more efficient and collaborative supply chains for businesses across New Zealand, Australia and Asia.”
“David understands New Zealand’s international transport and logistics issues, together with the issues faced by our customers’ in their export markets, and will continue to accelerate our strategy to drive outcomes for New Zealand’s logistics sector,” he said.
Mr Ross has almost 20 years experience working offshore with Fonterra and its subsidiaries in countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and the UK. He has more than 10 years' experience in business leadership enabling growth through a focus on people, brands, customers, innovation and supply chain effectiveness.
On his return to New Zealand last year David became Director, Advanced Nutrition in Global Brands and Nutrition at Fonterra.
Mr Ross will commence working in his new role on Monday 2 November.
