Once in a lifetime experiences and celebrity encounters are amongst the many items up for grabs on ‘The Stars Come Out Auction’ on Trademe this holiday season.

The charity auction set up to raise funds for Sir Ray Avery’s charity Medicine Mondiale offers a list of rare opportunities to mingle with several New Zealand icons and personalities.

Among the many items on offer are a chance to visit the set of The Hobbit along with a meet and greet with Peter Jackson, two days of recording time at Roundhead Studios with Neil Finn, and the opportunity to meet with Sonny Bill Williams.

It is anticipated that competitive bids will be placed from New Zealand and Australia, along with international participants for many of these items.

“Both Neil [Finn] and I believe that no one is as clever or powerful as all of us and this festive and New Year season, the generosity of all these talented and remarkable people will truly make such a difference to our world,” said Sir Ray Avery.

The auction, which was launched today, will run right through the New Year to the January 9 deadline.

Check the full list of items up for grabs on the Trademe website.
