Fisher Funds announced today that it has appointed Sam Dickie as Portfolio Manager, New Zealand Equities to replace Murray Brown who retired in October 2016. Sam will assume responsibility for managing the Kingfish Limited (KFL) portfolio, and will be supported by senior analyst Zoie Regan who returns from maternity leave in early 2017.
Sam is a Kiwi currently based in Hong Kong, and will return to New Zealand with his wife and two young children in February. Sam has worked as an investment analyst and portfolio manager since 1998 in New Zealand, London and Hong Kong and is a CFA charterholder. Coincidentally, Sam’s first role was with Credit Suisse/First NZ Capital where he trained as an analyst under Murray Brown.
Sam has covered a variety of sectors including property, telecommunications, tourism, and industrials and had a particular focus on China and India. He has previously worked with Deutsche Bank and Bennelong Asset Management in London and Moore Capital Management in Hong Kong.
