A UK buyer has acquired a 159ha Northland avocado property for an undisclosed sum.
Vulpes Agricultural Land Investment Company Pte owned by Stephen Charles Diggle of the UK has Overseas Investment Office permission to acquire an orchard-owning company called King Avocado.

King Avocado claims to be New Zealand’s biggest producer of avocados.
It was established by Sky Television co-founder and former test match cricketer Terry Jarvis. King Avocado’s orchard is near Ninety Mile Beach in Northland.
Mr Jarvis retains interests in the wine industry through Jarvis Wine Company, which owns the Sleeping Giant vineyard in Hawke’s Bay.
He has also been involved in property development, including the 41-section Evergreen Estate in the Waikato town of Matamata.
Mr Jarvis played 13 tests for New Zealand.
