The National Business Review is pleased to announce the launch of NBR RADAR – a resource for investors and business interests that will identify future high-potential contributors to New Zealand’s business and economic success.
NBR RADAR will be a constantly updated list of individuals, many of whom are young entrepreneurs, who have established businesses that NBR identifies as significant contributors to value growth in the New Zealand economy over the next three to five years.
The first batch of 25 individuals will be published online on Monday, November 27.

NBR RADAR will be a watchlist for investors, advisers and those keen to be well informed about the next generation of successful businessmen and women.
NBR publisher Todd Scott says the concept of NBR RADAR developed from NBR’s commitment to being “The Meeting Place of Intelligent Business.”
“In our work, we come across a fascinating range of entrepreneurs and business people who are doing amazing, creative things that we know will generate wealth for the owners, investors and backers of those businesses in years to come,” he said.
“To qualify for NBR RADAR, you will be judged as being one of a group of people we consider are ‘Smart people doing Smart Things’,” Mr Scott says.
“As a serious publication which provides intelligent and insightful commentary on the state of business in New Zealand, we believe we have an important role to play in highlighting the success stories that deserve to have the backing of well informed New Zealand investors.
“It is our hope that, over time, NBR RADAR will be regarded as an authoritative and useful indicator of where the future wealth creators of New Zealand are operating and what they are doing that will make a significant contribution to New Zealand’s future economic success,” Mr Scott says.
“We also hope business owners who believe they fall into this category of ‘Smart people doing Smart things’ will regard their inclusion on NBR RADAR as a mark of pride and that this inclusion will assist with their needs for investment capital.
“Greater transparency and disclosure across the investment scene in New Zealand will benefit not only those seeking to identify areas where good returns will occur but also those who need investment capital to turn their already successful business into a world-class backable proposition,” Mr Scott says.
We will utilise our innovative and expanding newsroom including NBR View, the multimedia unit headed by content director Hamish Coleman-Ross, to showcase NBR RADAR.
