Idealog magazine editor Hazel Phillips has quit the business magazine for a job in PR.

The award winning former NBR journalist and author will leave for Baldwin Boyle Group in a few weeks’ time.

Ms Phillips declined to comment on her new job but confirmed she will leave the magazine in "a few weeks".

Last year Idealog took home magazine of the year in the business and trade category as well as editor of the year in the same category at the MPA Magazine Awards.

She also published Kiwi advertising history book Sell! last year and has a biography of Sir Bob Harvey coming out later this year.

Tangible publisher Vincent Heeringa has not responded to NBR ONLINE’s request for comment.

Ms Phillips' new employer, Baldwin Boyle Group, is an independent PR firm well-known for its work with Fonterra.
