Mark Baker has joined IBM New Zealand as Channel and Digital Leader, a newly created role designed to help its business partners capitalise on opportunities in cloud, cognitive, analytics, mobile, social and security.
“Mark will lead our growth into new areas by building deep, trusted relationships with the New Zealand and global vendors and business partners who advise on and deliver solutions that support customers on their digital transformation journey,” says Mike Smith, Managing Director, IBM New Zealand. “Just as importantly, Mark will guide our partners in developing solutions that take full advantage of IBM’s global cloud and cognitive services and reflect changes in how New Zealand businesses purchase and consume technology.”
Mark was most recently New Zealand Country Manager for the global distributor WestconComstor and has 20 years of experience in New Zealand’s technology distribution industry. During this time, Mark held senior positions in sales management, marketing and vendor management with WestconComstor, and Datastor, an independent acquired by Westcon Group in 2009.
