It is the sort of bleak image of a dwelling that occurs in several of his works and has something of the gothic aspect which haunts the works of Ronald Hugh Morrison.
It would have served brilliantly as the set for the recent Auckland Theatre Company’s production of Horseplay, which tells of a meeting between James K Baxter and the Hawera based Morrison.
