Green MP Gareth Hughes' embarrassing "Hey, Clint" gaffe has gone viral - or at least 3News Political Editor Patrick Gower is trying to make it so by posting a full version of the excruciating interview interlude to YouTube.
If you missed the abbreviated original version last Night on 3News, it features reporter Tova O'Brien asking the youthful energy spokesman if he's pleased the Greens/Labour power policy seems to have dented the government's asset sales plan.
Mr Hughes pauses to ask Greens spin doctor Clint Smith, "Hey, Clint - are we pleased?"
The social media mob was soon feasting under the hashtag #heyclint.
The only good news for the Greens/Labour power policy push was that drew the Twitterati's attention from David Shearer "talking out his mouth" slip.
Some criticised Mr Gower for being a bad sport.
But others praised him for giving viewers a look "behind the fourth wall".
And Mr Hughes got in a self-effacing tweet:
Struggling to find a witty response to #HeyClint Where's Clint when you need him?
