Grant Thornton has announced the appointment of Matt Hannah as a Partner in its Christchurch office.

Matt has over 10 years’ experience working with privately held businesses. He works with clients to develop sound strategies which achieve their aspirations and growth ambitions. In addition to traditional accounting advice, Matt’s extensive expertise includes delivering value added services which help businesses deal with challenges and improve business outcomes.

Commenting on the appointment, Tim Downes, National Managing Partner at Grant Thornton New Zealand said, “We’re excited to have Matt on board; he’s a great fit with our firm’s dynamic culture, and he will make a very positive addition to the Christchurch office and to the national firm as a whole”

Prior to joining Grant Thornton New Zealand, Matt held senior positions with two big 4 firms. He also spent two years working as a Financial Analyst with The Canterbury Development Corporation, where he implemented business improvement programmes for high growth potential clients, and a project management office for delivering the Christchurch Economic Development Strategy.

He has in-depth industry experience in specialist manufacturing, professional services, construction, hospitality and property.
