Ellis to Eleven, or maybe Twelve
DraftFCB PR director Lwindi Ellis is leaving the company for the halls of the Backslash. She’s off to ELEVEN\PR, possibly ruining the tidy headcount.

All Hail Leader Crawford
Speaking of FCB, you may have seen the cheeky ad they ran (full-page stylez) in the Sunday papers. (See it here.) Called themselves CultFCB. Not entirely sure what’s going on there, but a source said he saw CEO Bryan Crawford riding into HQ on a Harley this morning and all workies have been told to give 10% of their salary. Hmmmroo?

AC has a good hair day
Alexander Communications, aka AC, has won GHD New Zealand and Challenge Trust. But wait! We don’t mean GHD as in the hair straightener that makes women swoon world-over. (Guys, if you ever wanted to know the answer to that age-old question “what do women want?”, the answer is actually a GHD. But don’t say I told you.) Anyway this version of GHD is an engineering, architecture and environmental consulting firm. Challenge Trust is a charitable trust whose clients include people affected by mental illness, physical disability, intellectual disability, addictions, dual disability and dual diagnosis.

Changes at Flossie
Flossie Media Group has announced a change to its product offering. It’s merging the business with email software development specialists Digital Dialogue. Last year Flossie decided to move away from display advertising in favour of one-to-one-communications and an automated and aggregated email / advertising service. DD has a sophisticated email thingy that Flossie’s been onto for a while now. More details on May 1, and the product will go live in June, when a new flossie.com website will be launched. More news: Flossie’s commercial director Juliet Mackenzie has invested in the business. The company’s also in hiring mode once more on the other side of the ditch, to build its sales team.

Pat on the back
Freeview has launched its own awards, with categories such as “Best Freeview accredited retail partner” and Best Freeview accredited retail web site. There’s also “Best installer experience” and “Best Freeview-approved HD receiver”. Get amongst it.

Fruity stuff
Over at DDB, Adam Rose has been promoted to creative director on McDonald’s. (He looks like a nice chap. Good for a couple of beers and some table dancing.) Comms unit Mango has also been added to the “integrated DDB Group McDonald’s team”, which we think means they’ve now got the PR. Cause for celebration! I can see the heading now: Adam Rose Table Dances With Mango Fruits. Lovely.

Shufflings at Fairfax
Sally Duggan, ex-ACP, has been announced as the new editor of NZ House & Garden. She’s been associate editor for 15 months. Current editor Kate Coughlan will stay on as editorial director, as she’ll keep editing NZ Life & Leisure and fill an editorial director role for Fairfax Magazines.
