iPredict traders reckon Megaupload founder Kim Dotcom will be sent to the US to face charges relating to copyright infringement.
Megaupload founder Kim Dotcom has a 56% chance of being extradited to the US, according to trading site iPredict.
Traders are betting on whether Mr Dotcom will be sent back to the US before January 1, 2014, to face money laundering, racketeering and copyright charges.
Since trading on the stock opened today, its price has increased 13%, or seven cents to 56 cents.
Mr Dotcom was arrested along with three others in January following an armed police raid on his Coatesville mansion.
He was released on restricted bail in February.
The US government’s application to have Mr Dotcom extradited is expected to be heard in the North Shore district court in August.
