Coda Group LP, a leading New Zealand freight management business, has appointed Scott Brownlee as the company’s chief executive. He has been in an acting role since the formation of Coda was announced in February. Brownlee was previously chief executive of DTL.
Coda, a joint venture with Kotahi and Port of Tauranga, was formed on May 1 and will boost efficiency in the nationwide supply chain, by removing wasted capacity and reducing the cost of consolidating cargo at key ports, which is necessary for larger ship visits to New Zealand.
Coda Group Chairman, Sir Dryden Spring said Scott brings a wealth of logistics and freight industry experience to the role.
“Scott will be drawing on his exceptional leadership and supply chain experience to deliver Coda’s business strategy and create real change in New Zealand’s logistics network.”
Coda brings together five leading freight brands including DTL, Tapper Transport, Priority Logistics, MetroPack and a 37.5 percent shareholding in MetroBox.
Coda provides a range of freight management solutions and expects to move more than five million metric tonnes of containerised cargo.
