Munich installs satellite terminal train
The first car of the passenger transport system for Munich Airport’s satellite terminal has been delivered. It was lowered by crane through an opening left on the airport ramp.

The system will carry passengers between Terminal 2 and the satellite facility. The cars, from Canadian manufacturer Bombardier, are designed to carry up to 9000 passengers an hour in each direction.

The journey will take less than a minute. The trains will not be "unwrapped" until the station is completed. The first test runs are scheduled within months.

Airline apps for Apple Watch
Airlines are ready for the official launch of the new Apple Watch in selected markets on April 24.

Air New Zealand says it’s developed an app that will be available by the release date to customers in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, the UK and the US.

Emirates has followed suit, saying its app will provide "context-specific data" such as flight status updates, terminal and gate number and baggage collection details. It will be available in English, French and German.

Similar features are in the Air New Zealand app, which also features its popular mobile app that orders barista-made coffees that will be ready on arrival at some of its lounges.
