Former deputy PM and Energy and Resources Minister Gerry Brownlee is mining for talent.
Seems he can’t find any.
Since press secretary Stephen Parker returned to the bright lights and makeup of TV3 a few months ago, Mr Brownlee has been without an official spin doctor.
All of his cabinet contemporaries have one, but Mr Brownless has been forced to borrow one from his boss, Prime Minister John Key.
Private Bin has heard whispers his minders have been prospecting among some of the top business journo’s domiciled in the Capital.
However, now Housing and Fisheries Minister Phil Heatley has resigned his post, Private Bin wonders if his press sec, former NBR news editor Nick Bryant, will want the job.
