Barfoot & Thompson appoints first woman to board
Barfoot & Thompson family member Kiri Barfoot has been appointed as a director of the company.
Ms Barfoot is currently regional manager for the real estate company and is a shareholder through company Val Barfoot, which owns half of Barfoot & Thompson.
Maurice Thompson owns the other half.
Ms Barfoot joins her father Garth Barfoot and managing director Peter Thompson on the board.
She joined the company in 1991 after graduating from the University of Auckland with a BCom and has filled roles such as property manager at the Glenfield branch and sales roles at Northcote and Glenfield.
She has also been branch manager at Waiuku, Otahuhu and Highland Park.
Ms Barfoot is the company’s first female board member.
