Anti-virus software provider AVG Technologies has partnered with GlobalCollect to process the online electronic payments of its software, it was announced today.
AVG will use GlobalCollect’s merchant link solution, which will give the company control over the online shopping cart and check out procedure while providing customers access to GlobalCollect’s local, alternative and international payment methods.
AVG will also use GlobalCollect’s fraud screening service, which features a wide range of integrated fraud reduction tools to maximise transaction safety prior to authorisation.
AVG chief executive JR Smith said; “As AVG continues to grow its customer base on a global scale, totalling over 110 million, we have a lot of customers who prefer to have local payment options.
“Working with GlobalCollect will enable us to get closer to our customers, speak their language on both the website and within the application as well as make purchasing a user-friendly experience,” Mr Smith said.
