ASB Bank is the first bank to hike home loan rates since the 25 basis point lift in the OCR to 3% last week.
This morning, ASB lifted its floating home loan and six-month fixed mortgage rate by 0.25 percentage points to match the change by the Reserve Bank last week.
ASB’s floating home loan rate is now 6.25% and the six-month fixed rate is 6.35%.
No change has been made to the one-year fixed home loan rate, however the bank has cut its longer-term fixed mortgage rates, ranging between 18 months and five years, by between 0.5 and 0.15 percentage points.
ASB also led its rivals to hike mortgage rates to match the Reserve Bank’s 25 basis point lift in the OCR in June.
All ASB's savings accounts have received a 0.25% interest rate boost. Fastsaver and business saver accounts now pay interest of 3.65.
