ASB has appointed Lianne Murphy as general manager of its investment platform Aegis.
Ms Murphy is currently the head of commercial and rural sales in ASB’s global markets team and has more than 15 years of senior experience in share broking and global markets.
ASB executive general manager wealth and insurance Adam Boyd says Ms Murphy has a long and successful history of leading teams responsible for client servicing and relationship management.
“Lianne’s unique combination of skills, background and strengths made her the obvious choice for the Aegis leadership role as we continue to grow and build our capabilities as a bank-backed platform,” Mr Boyd says.
Aegis is a market leader with sustained long-term growth, holding more than $12.5 billion in funds under administration.
Ms Murphy takes up the role on January 23, replacing Angela Busby who leaves ASB this month to take up the role of chief officer people and culture at Sovereign.
