In the three months to September listed AMP NZ Office Trust reported its net profit had fallen to $6.49 million compared to $14.69 in the same period a year earlier.

Earnings per unit also suffered, dropping 5.6% to 1.52 cents a unit. The net dividend paid to shareholders was 1.47 cents a unit.

As of Monday listed property vehicle AMP NZ Office Trust will be corporatised and trading as a company.

It will change its name to AMP NZ Office Limited, which was registered with the Companies Office in May as a subsidiary of Perpetual Trust.

Its new ticker code on NZX will be ANO, and investor shares in AMP NZ Office Trust that are currently in a trading halt will be transferred to the new company.

Its gearing is 23.1% and its portfolio is 9.2% vacant, with an average lease term of 4.4 years.

At press time its shares were trading at 78 cents a unit.
