Fonterra has appointed Andrew Murray as its chief financial officer, from August 1. Murray, who joined Fonterra in February 2023 as commercial director for the Global Markets business, will succeed Simon Till, who has served as acting chief financial officer since October 2023.
Neil Beaumont was the last person to hold the title but left in November last year after less than 12 months in the role.
Prior to Fonterra, Murray held the chief financial officer position at food brand group Simplot Australia and served in senior finance roles at Mondelez for over a decade. Till will transition to a strategic adviser role following Murray's induction.
In March, Fonterra reported an interim net profit after tax of $674 million, up 23% from $546m the year before.
