Billions in revenue, no tax paid. How do corporates do it?

ANALYSIS: A roll call of Australia’s major companies paid no tax at all in the 2023 financial year.

Back in 1991, the late Australian media mogul Kerry Packer appeared before a Parliamentary committee on tax evasion and uttered a quote that has been retold many times.

“I am not evading tax in any way, shape, or form,” Packer said.
