Government opens some 5G spectrum early for telcos and Maori

Telcos have been given early access to electromagnetic spectrum rights, some of which will be given to Maori.

The government has temporarily opened an unused portion of about 210 megahertz (MHz) of the 3.5 gigahertz (GHz) spectrum. About 160MHz will be allotted to telcos and other interested
