Could Māori meet the shortfall of construction workers in NZ?

A summit in Wellington today is hoping to entice more Māori into construction as the industry faces a shortfall of more of 350,000 workers.

As the Government prepares to fast-track 149 infrastructure projects across Aotearoa, the Construction and Infrastructure Workforce Development Council, Waihanga Ara Rau, will today unveil a new plan designed to boost Māori participation in the sector.
