No easing in inflation, as New Zealand hits a three-decade high

Annual inflation has hit 5.9%, the biggest increase since a 7.6% increase in the June 1990 quarter.
In the latest consumer price index for the three months to the end of December, Statistics New Zealand price increases were widespread. Prices in 10 out of the 11 main groups in the CPI went up,
