Costs and bad debts hit Rabobank result

Agriculture lender increases loan book but margins take a hit.

Agriculture lending specialist Rabobank has reported a drop in profit for the year to December as reduced interest margins, higher expenses and impairment charges offset lending growth.

Net profit was $129.7 million for the New Zealand banking group, down 10% from a year earlier.
