Wine industry consolidates as Pernod sells to Accolade

The sale brings New Zealand brands Church Road, Stoneleigh, and Brancott Estate together with Mud House.

No sale price was disclosed but earlier reports suggested a price of around A$500m.

French drinks giant Pernod Ricard is exiting its Australasian business after 35 years, with the sale of its high-profile brand portfolio to Australia’s second-largest producer Accolade Wines.

The move is a major consolidation for the Australasian industry and will see New Zealand brands Church
