Academic calls for Foodstuffs divestments following ComCom block

An Australian academic has called for Foodstuffs to be forced to divest some of its banners after the Commerce Commission today declined a proposed merger of Foodstuffs North Island and Foodstuffs South Island over concerns about the impact it could have on competition and consumers.
