Winton share price hits the skids after ditching dividend

The firm is now set to ‘weather the storm’, which won’t be the case for other industry players, founder Chris Meehan says.

Winton Land says it won't pay a year-end dividend to shareholders after its after tax profit saw a decline of 48.9% to $15.7 million for the year to June.

The market reacted by pushing the share price down 21 cents, or almost 10%, to $1.90 in early afternoon trading on the NZX.
