Buyer for $33 million ‘Queenstown Hill’ unveiled

Queenstown-Lakes council wouldn’t be drawn on the buyer of the housing parcel, the final piece of a 40.5 hectare site gifted by the Crown 54 years ago.

Site with a view, the last ‘commonage’ site will be developed into housing.

Property investor and syndicator Mackersy Property has been linked to the purchase of Queenstown’s council-owned final parcel of ‘commonage land’, which went for $33 million this week.

Mackersy, based in Five Mile, outside Queenstown, has quietly assembled a property portfolio of $2.2 billion
