Build emissions targets will need to track up to ‘above 50%’

Green Buildings Council says developers and builders will have to accelerate their transition to low carbon products, with only six years left for ‘radical reduction’.

The New Zealand Green Building Council will need to expand its targets to cut embodied emissions down to over 50% within the next six years, as part of hitting New Zealand’s 2030 targets under the Paris Agreement.

That’s according to a soon to be released report prepared by engineering
