Scyne cuts Aussie headcount by 10% as Canberra cuts consultants

Created as a specialist firm to service the public sector, Scyne is hurting from the move to insourcing.

Canberra has slashed spending on consultants in the wake of the 2023 PwC Australia conflict of interest scandal.

Scyne Advisory is the latest consulting firm to feel the impact of the Australian government’s policy of decreasing its reliance on outsourcing, with an announcement yesterday that it would cut staff numbers by around 10%.
